Mrs. Torkel O. Heggen died at her home at Story City last Thursday at the age of 81. She was a native of Norway and settled in Story county in 1882. She was the mother of seven children and twenty eight grandchildren. The children are O. T. and L. T. Heggen of Renwick, Mrs. Jacob Teig of Rosendale and Mr. H. J. Hill, J. T. and Stina Heggen of Story City. Her funeral was held from the Bethel church Monday morning and interment in the Fairview cemetery beside her husband.
