The latter died in infancy and Dora May passed away at the age of 18 just as she had finished high school and was entering womanhood. The others with the husband live in or near this city and are left to mourn the loss of a devoted wife and mother. Mrs. Shope spent most of life in Maxwell, having lived in Nevada only about seven years. She was an active member of the Presbyterian church the W. R. C. and the Rebekah Lodge.

After a prayer at the home by Mrs. Leitch the funeral party went to Maxwell where the funeral was held at 10 o'clock at the Presbyterian church being conducted by Rev. Waddling the pastor of that church after which interment was made in Iowa Center. The Rebekahs from this city attended the funeral in a body and as their custom is conducted the ritualistic services.

Little Frederick was one of a pair of twins born to Mr. and Mrs. Miller on May 30, 1917 the other little one having lived only a short time so in the loss of this baby the parents are doubly bereaved and will receive the sympathy of all in their hour of sorrow.
