David Paul Coe was born August 8, 1942 to Paul and Julia (Baker) Coe in Ames, Iowa. David and Carolyn Heubner were married December 23, 1986 in Ames. He was very involved in and took care of the family business, Coe's Floral and Gifts until 1999. David enjoyed golfing, and spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren's activities. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Ames and the ISU Cyclone Club. He was passionate about ISU sports and since 1992 ran the game clock during both the men's and women's basketball games. David found great joy in his second career as a driver for Cy-Ride.
David passed away at 73 years of age on March 11, 2016 at Northridge Village in Ames.
David is survived by his wife, Carolyn Coe of Ames; his children, Jeff (Laurie) Coe of St. Joseph, Mo., Michael (Wendy) Brendeland of Ames and Diane (Max) Riedemann of Story City; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Michael), Jordan, Jenna, Kaleb, Emmaleigh, Ashleigh, Tameron and Bennett; his great-granddaughter, Peyton; his brother, Steve (Kathy) Coe; his brother-in-law, Frank (Kris) Heubner; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
