Berneil Arlene Jones, 72, of Cambridge, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at her home in Cambridge.

Berneil was born November 14, 1943, in Sheffield, Iowa to Marion Kenneth and Gretchen Louise (Schroeder) Amsbaugh. She graduated from Rockwell-Swaledale High School in 1963 and had been employed with Lowe’s in Ames.

Berneil is survived by her son, Kurt (Karen) Jones of Fallbrook, CA; her daughter, Suzanne Amsbaugh of Elkhart; four grandchildren: Brett, Blake, McKenna and Lindsey; her brothers: Tom (Ellie) Amsbaugh of Waubay, SD, Kenneth (Mary) Amsbaugh of Sheffield, and John (Deb) Amsbaugh of Polk City; and her sisters: Myrna Evans (Darrel Rench) of Cambridge, Bonnie Vande Lune of Cambridge and Deborah (Harry) Clark of Huxley. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Nancy Nicholson.

Per Berneil’s wishes, she has been cremated and private burial of cremated remains will be in the Cambridge Cemetery.

Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
