From Nevada Representative December 30, 1891

Obituary.

Mr. Walter Templeton, who for many years has resided in the northern part of town, died this morning at 5 o'clock. For a month or more he had been ailing, but no one expected to hear the sad news of his sudden death. It seems that a stroke of paralysis was the immediate cause of his sudden taking off. For many years Mr. Templeton had been a citizen of our town, having come here with his wife, who survives him, twenty-three years ago. He was a familiar figure upon our streets and was known well in every home. His occupation was such as to bring him into close touch with nearly all our households where he was an honored and respected man. He was a member of the Presbyterian church and one of its trustees. His life was such as all must honor, for he was a man without guile. Four children have gone before him into the better land. He was sixty years of age last October. His wife and relatives who survive him have the deep sympathy of the entire community. The funeral services will take place in the church to-morrow at 11 o'clock.
