From Nevada Representative March 25, 1891

Obituary.

A little less than four weeks ago Mrs. Alice Kinsell Hale came to the home of her sister Mrs. P. D. Humphrey south of Nevada, in the hope that rest from household duties, and sisterly care would restore her seriously impaired health; but in the providence of God it was otherwise ordered, and early Sunday morning March 23d, 1891, from the presence of her husband and children and other loved ones, she passed to her home in the Father's house of many mansions. Mrs. Hale was born near Vinton, Iowa, August 1st 1857, and came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Kinsell, to Story county in 1861. She was married B. A. Hale June 4th, 1879, and their home since 1892 has been at Perry, Iowa. By her death a husband and two children, a daughter and a son aged respectively ten and seven years, together with a wide circle of near relatives have suffered great loss. She was a devoted wife and mother,m a cherished friend. Her religious connections were with the M. E. church of which she was an exemplary member, and in all life relations she proved herself an earnest Christian woman. She was member of the W. C. T. U. and W. R. C. and through these organizations and in many other ways did what she could to make better the world in which she lived. A profusion of beautiful flowers from friends in Perry testified to the esteem and love borne her by those who knew her intimately. Her funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the home where she died, and were conducted by Rev. Isaiah Reid assisted by Rev. W. W. Danner. In accordance with her rqeuest the remains were buried in the Nevada cemetery. The sympathy of the public are extended to the bereaved family and friends in this their day of sorrow.
