Nathan Webb, whose death is recorded in our Iowa Centre correspondence what the father of County Attorney Webb and a most estimable old gentleman. He is spoken of in high terms by old settler associates.

....Nathan Webb, after an illness of several weeks, died Mar. 14, aged 82 years and 10 months. The funeral was preached by Rev. Elliot of Cambridge on Monday at the Evangelical church....The deceased was well and favorably known having been a resident of Story county since 1853. Seven children mourn the loss of a kind father, Mrs. John Moore, Mrs. Jas. Donahoo and M. P. Webb of Story count, Porter Webb and Mrs. Baird of Sioux county, Abbott Webb of Kansas and Granville of Nebraska. All were here but the last two. The friends have the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement.
