From Nevada Representative February 25, 1891

Mary Elliott, only remaining daughter of Freeman Elliot of Richland township, died at her father's home yesterday morning. Some four weeks ago she was attacked with measles and subsequently by pneumonia with fatal result. Miss Elliot has been her father's home keeper since her mother's death some seven years since and her efficient supervision and kindly presence will be sadly missed by the members of the bereaved household. She was about 22 years of age, and possessed qualities of mind and heart that greatly endeared her to a wider circle of friends. Her funeral services will be held to-morrow at 12 o'clock.

From Nevada Representative March 11, 1891

--B. F. Lake returned to his home in Kane county, Illinois, on Tuesday Feb. 24th, after the death of his niece, Mary Elliot, daughter of F. Elliot of Richland township.
