David Wayne Andrew
April 6, 1960 - December 18, 2015David Andrew, 55, passed away Friday, December 18, 2015 at his home in Boone, Iowa. A celebration of David's life will be privately held by his family.
David Wayne Andrew was born April 6, 1960 in Ames, Iowa, to Merle and Jean (Cadman) Andrew. He grew up in Gilbert and has lived in the Ames area his entire life. David was formerly employed at Cyclone Car Stereo and ALMACO. For the past 15 years he has worked for Clapper Corporation as a welder, fabricator and assembler of specialized machines in Ankeny, Iowa.
David loved being outdoors riding his motorcycle, driving his sports car, fishing, and duck hunting. He also had a large lighter collection that he treasured.
Survivors include his son, Jake (Danielle Baldus) Andrew; mother, Jean Swanson; granddaughter, Zoe Andrew; siblings, Frank Andrew, Darcy (Dennis) Ewing, Theresa (Kenny) Arnold, Deanna Haines, Eva (William) Bacon, and Shara (Tim Bledsoe) Swanson; stepmother, Karen Andrew; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Merle; sister, Lyla Jane Andrew; and niece, Neva Jean Andrew and his grandparents Carl & Beatrice Andrew, and Lyle And Eva Cadman.
