....Died, at the residence of his son, Henry, Mr. Micah French, aged 98 years. He was a resident of Story county for the last 33 years and no doubt the oldest citizen in the county and one of the few veterans of the war of 1812. Two of his sons surviving him live here and one at Girard, Kan. Two were killed in the late war. His remains were buried in the family burying ground, on his son's farm, last Saturday afternoon. The funeral was attended by a large number of friends and relatives....
