....Jesse, the youngest son of G. G. Cronk, died in Lyle, Minn., Jan. 19th. This was a terrible blow on his father who did not know of his sickness until he received the telegram announcing his death. Jesse, since his mother's death, has been living with Mr. and Mrs. Vorheis of Lyle....

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Jesse J. Cronk was the son of Gilbert G. Cronk and Mary J. Barnhard. Mary (Barnhard) Cronk died on 4 August 1886 and, after his mother's death, Jesse was apparently placed with his maternal aunt, Adelia (Barnhard) Voorhies, wife of Bailey T. Voorhies.
