Died.

Mrs. Ruth Hurd, of Cedar Falls, died very suddenly last Saturday morning at the home of her sister, Mr. Myra Abbott in this city. Mrs. Hurd, accompanied by her husband, W. H. Hurd, of the Cedar Rapids Gazette, had arrived on the Friday night train to spend Christmas with her sister and family. She walked down from the depot and soon retired. Shortly afterward she was seized with a violent attack of congestion of the lungs, of which she expired at half past three. The stricken husband, together Mrs. Abbott and son W. C., took the remains home Saturday night to Cedar Falls where they were interred on Monday. Mrs. Hurd had often visited in Nevada, and had many friends other than her immediate relatives, among our citizens.
