From Nevada Representative October 15, 1884

A coroner's inquest was held the first of last week by Dr. Hostetter on the body of Jane Miller who died suddenly September 26th. The jury, consisting of Solomon Coughenour, D. A. Moore and Davis Hankins, found a verdict that the deceased came to her death from natural causes.

In addition to the above we learn that Miss Miller suffered for three or four weeks previous to her death from rheumatism, and was confined to her bed and under the care of Dr. Knepper the last 24 hours of her life. Mr. W. A. Ulum thinks as does Dr. K. that rheumatism of the heart caused her death.
