Also on the 31st, the infant son, and only child of Guss McHone, who lives about two miles north-west of town, was called home. The child was not thought to be seriously ill, as we understand it died in bed with its parents.

Surely the children are gathering home.
Death has called for many a love one,
We have seen them leave our side;
With our Savior we shall meet them
When we too have crossed the tide.
