Ames.

....Father Lamb passed away quietly to his final rest Sunday noon, ages 83 years. His long life has been a great success; his peaceful death, a grand triumph. We all mourn because we are all losers; but he is the gainer. Everybody in this part of the county knew Father Lamb. He was the father of Mrs. Geo. Wheeler and Mrs. C. D. Norman of this city. His wife survives him, and she, those referred to, another daughter living at Belmond, Wright county, and a son, Mr. Albert Lamb of Chicago, comprise the remainder of the family. They have the tenderest sympathy of the community; and no mourners outside of the family, will be more sincere than the mass of the children of Ames, for they were very near to the heart of Father Lamb....
