Obituary.

"Gone to rest."

After an earthly pilgrimage of nearly 72 years, Mrs. Eliza Hall sank to rest on Saturday last at 9 a. m. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Wm. Neil, assisted by Rev. Neible, and were very impressive. The remarks from the text, "I am the resurrection and the life," gave great comfort to the many bereaved ones around the earthly remains of the departed. Grandma Hall was beloved by a large circle of friends, for her kind and charitable manner, always ready and willing to administer to the wants of others. One of her last acts was to contribute liberally, even at a sacrifice to herself, towards building the large church in Maxwell, Iowa, expecting to realize no benefit therefrom except in the life of her good deeds. She bore her painful illness with christian fortitude and patience. When she knew there was no hope of recovery, she had no fear of death, and expressed herself very decidedly, that all was well; and, while regretting separation from her children, she rejoiced in the prospective reunion with her life partner, who had preceded her a few years. --ST.
