TOM ERICKSON

Funeral services for Tom Erickson were held Aug. 2, 1971, at 2 p.m. from the Fjeldberg Lutheran Church in Huxley with the Rev. Marvin Nygaard officiating and a message of condolence from the staff of Bethany Manor by Pastor Hagedorn.

Thomas Erickson was born Oct. 4, 1905 in Huxley, to Lars and Lena Erickson. He died July 30, 1971 at Bethany Manor in Story City. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of the Fjeldberg Lutheran Church in Huxley. In 1929 he was married to Wilma M. Moore, who preceded him in death in 1968.

Mr. Erickson was the Standard Oil agent in the Huxley area for 35 years. He is survived by two sons, Tom M., Montezuma and Larry, Marshalltown; two daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Erickson, and Mrs. Mary Westvold, both of Huxley; a brother, Elmer, St. Paul, Minn.; two sisters, Cora Miller, Kelley, Luella Alleman, Slater and nine grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Melvin.

Pallbearers were Ervin Miller, Richard L. Alleman. Robert Alleman, Steven Twedt, Don Nord and Rick Nord. Burial was in Palestine Cemetery, Huxley.
