Mrs. Holland died Wednesday
Mrs. Melinda Holland, 88, Story City, died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Story City Sunset Home, after a lingering illness.
Born in Story County, she lived in the Roland area all her life until she entered the home seven years ago.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Henry Sevde of Ames, Mrs. Kermit Haugen, of Radcliffe and Mrs. Margaret Elwick of Radcliffe; and two sons, Orvie of Ames; Otis of Minneapolis, Minn., 22 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday from the Sunset Home at 1:15 p.m. and at 2 p.m. from Bergen Lutheran Church, Roland with the Rev. Howard Lybeck officiating. Burial is to be in the Roland cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the Larson Funeral Home, Story City, until 10 a.m. Friday.
