MRS. RINERT HOLLAND

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Holland, 58, of Kelley, who died at the Iowa Lutheran hospital in Des Moines, Wednesday were held at Bethany Lutheran church near Kelley Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, followed by burial in the nearby cemetery. Her pastor, Rev. E. R. Rorem, was in charge.

Mrs. Holland, who had been at the hospital since February 28, had been ill for six months with complications following a surgical operation.

Born on a farm near Huxley she had lived in Story county all of her life, the family home being a mile east of Kelley.

Married to Rinert Holland December 14, 1893, she was the mother of thirteen children, eight of whom with the husband survive her. They are Herman, at home, Emmett of Ames, Burnis at home, Beulah a teacher at Napier, Geraldine a nurse in the government service at Parmlee, S. D., Mildred a nurse, and Elizabeth and Elaine at home. She also leaves two brothers, Hans Larson of Huxley and Lars Larson of Des Moines and a sister, Mrs. Lewis Munson of Huxley.
