Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Grayce Evelyn Wierson was born on August 10, 1914 to Severt and Sina (Tollefson) Seversonon a farm near Carleton, Oregon. She married Ward Wierson on June 23, 1935 at the Ames Lutheran Church in Ames. Ward died November 7, 1987. Ward and Grayce lived on a farm near Roland and later on a farm near Ames. Grayce and Ward had the exceptional gift of hospitality in which friends and relatives often graced their dinner table. This was driven by the love they had for their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and their hospitality carried over into church and community service.

After retirement from the farm, Grayce and Ward delivered Winnebago motor homes and enjoyed seeing much of the United States, including Alaska. Grayce enjoyed traveling and was blessed to see many interesting places and countries. In her later years, Grayce embroidered hundreds of tea towels and had the joy of sharing them with many friends and family members.

Grayce finished her journey on July 1, 2015 and now resides with her Lord and Savior in heaven for eternity.

Grayce is survived by three children, Esther Frandsen, of Roland, Margaret Moore and her husband, Del of Coralville, and Wayne Wierson and his wife, Jane of Meridian, ID. Grayce is also survived by eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and fifteen great great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mildred Gill of Sheboygan, WI, Myrtle Fauerby of Story City, and Ruth Madson of Cedar Rapids.

Grayce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ward; her son-in-law, Wally Frandsen; two brothers, Norman and Paul; one sister, Frances; and one great-grandchild, Travis.
