Set Kintzley rites for Monday

Clyde A. Kintzley, 84, 903 Kellogg Ave., died about 8:30 a.m. Friday at Riverside Manor Nursing Home.

A lifetime resident of Ames he graduated from Ames High School and attended Iowa State University.

Mr. Kellogg had been employed by the Ames Post Office for 46 years, and had been superintendent of mails at the Iowa State University station for 30 years.

He was a member of First Christian Church and served as deacon and financial secretary of the church.

Survivors include his wife, Verna M.; a son, Russell Kintzley of New Orleans, La.; three sisters, Mrs. Bess Ferdinandson, Rockford, Ill., Mrs. Mary Howard, Oakland, Calif., and Mrs. Elizabeth Wilson also of Oakland, Calif.; and two grandsons, Blake and John Kintzley of New Orleans, La.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday from First Christian Church with the Rev. Roy Key officiating. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established for First Christian Church. Gifts may be left with the church.

The body will be in state at Adams Funeral Home today and Sunday.
