Obituary for Morna Marie Olson

Morna was born on July 8, 1945 to Jerry and Morna (Cole) Olson in Roland, Iowa. She graduated from Roland High School in 1962. She married Joel Olson on September 5, 1965. Morna worked as a secretary at McDaniel’s Veterinary Clinic and later at Bethany Manor.

Over the years, she loved horses, horse shows, reading a good book and gambling at the casinos every once and awhile. Morna lived most of her life in the Randall and Roland area. She was a member of Elim Lutheran Church. She loved her family, especially her grandsons.

Morna Marie Olson passed away March 25, 2015 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa at 69 years of age.

Morna is survived by her husband of 49 years, Joel; her son Daniel (Shannon) Olson of Randall and her two grandsons: Zachari and Gaven and her brother Gene Olson of Jefferson City, Missouri.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: James “Big Boz” and Clarion “Little Boz” and an infant son.
