From Nevada Representative July 4, 1913
MRS. ROBERT SHEPHERD.
Mrs. Robert Shepherd, wife of Robert Sheperd, died Wednesday, July 2, about nine o'clock in the forenoon, at Clayton, New Mexico where the Shepherds have been for the past few years in the interest of her health. Mrs. Shepherd was the youngest of the three Moore girls, Leda and Grace, and the other two as well as her husband and son and his mother, were with her at the time of her death. Sadie, Mrs. Ammerman, lives down there in New Mexico, and Leda, Mrs. L. B. Child, went down only last week. The body will be brought back to Story county, presumably accompanied by the husband and two sisters, and it is likely that the funeral will be sometime Sunday at the L. B. Child home southwest of Nevada, and the interment in the Moore lot at Iowa Center.
Mrs. Shepherd was about thirty two or thirty three years of age and had lived substantially all her life in Story county. Her parents are both dead; but her surviving relatives include her grandmother, Mrs. N. N. Robison, and the numerous Robison family, as well as Mrs. S. R. Cooper of Maxwell and other relatives on her father's side. She was a young woman of much worth and attractiveness, and her death causes very much regret although, her condition for long time had been much as to cause her friends to fear the worst.
