Kenneth L. Brooke, 71, of Nevada, died at his home Wednesday, December 31, 2014.

Kenneth was born August 17, 1943, at Farrar, Iowa, the son of Creede and Lola Madge (Hughes) Brooke. He graduated Maxwell High School, and served in the Army Reserve. He was an IT Tech Manager at Nevada National Bank and attended the Central Presbyterian Church in Nevada. He enjoyed singing in the choir, playing cards, spending time with his grandkids, taking care of his rescue dogs, and his many do-it-yourself house projects.

Kenneth is survived by his son: Terry (Molly) Brooke of Cottage Grove, Minnesota; his daughter: Tammy Shumate of Warrensburg, Missouri; four grandchildren: Kristi and Katie Shumate and Charlie and Brady Brooke; and his sister: Donna Beals of Colfax, Iowa.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Milli Winchell.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 pm Monday, January 5, 2015 at Central Presbyterian Church in Nevada. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Private inurnment services will be at a later date in the Mount Zion Cemetery near Maxwell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Homeward Hospice.

The Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory is handling arrangements.
