Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Alice was born on May 23, 1913 in Roland, Iowa to Edward and Gurvine (Logan) Christian. She graduated from Roland High School in 1930 and went on to college. She was married to Carroll Twedt on October 28, 1933. Alice lived her life in the Roland and Story City area. She was a baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church. She was a member of Bergen Lutheran Church. She was a very good cook, and did macramé as a hobby. She loved her family very much.

Alice Ruth Twedt died January 15, 2015 at Bethany Manor in Story City at 101 years of age.

She is survived by: one son, Clark (Marian) Twedt of Leawood, KS and one daughter, Judy (Earl) Halzlip of Clermount, FL; five grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; two sisters: Lois Bane of Fort Collins, CO and Clarice Bullington of Des Moines.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carroll on August 15, 1999, son Gene, two brothers, Cy and George and sister, Edith Molde.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made out to Bethany Life Communities. Soderstrum Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
