Jerry Johnson was born on June 4, 1932 to Otis G. and Selma G. (Opstvedt) Johnson in Roland, Iowa. Jerry graduated from Roland High School and was an Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. He worked for 35 years as an auto mechanic at Stole Brothers in Roland. He lived in Roland all his life and a member of the Bergen Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Roland Cemetery board, Kiwanis and American Legion Post in Roland. He enjoyed his walks around Roland.

Jerrold “Jerry” W. Johnson died at 82 years of age on January 1, 2015 at Bethany Manor in Story City, Iowa.

Jerry is survived by his sister, June Sondall, of Story City; two brothers-in-law, Don Cochran, of Nevada and Loren Jondall, of Milton, Wisconsin; and many nieces and nephews.
