FUNERAL PARTY TO ARRIVE FRIDAY
MRS. J. L. DANA PASSED AWAY AT HOME OF HER DAUGHTER IN SEATTLE
The funeral party with the body of Mrs. J. L. Dana, who died at Seattle, Wash., July 3, is expected to arrive here at 5:11 Friday evening on the Rock Island, from St. Paul. Services will be held at Central Presbyterian church at 5:30 by Rev. J. George Walz local pastor assisted by Rev. Hall of Pasadena, who will be in the city.
Mrs. Dana, a pioneer resident of Nevada died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Dwight Corey, after an illness of several weeks, following a fall in which she was injured.
Mr. and Mrs. Dana lived for many years in Nevada. Mr. Dana was a veteran of the Civil war and a practicing attorney of some prominence. During their residence they lived on the corner of Fifth and Avenue M, where Mrs. Cook now has her home. A score of years ago they went to Seattle to be with their daughters and it was there that Mr. Dana passed away. His body was brought back here for interment.
