HAZEL HALL
Hazel Delphine Hall, 82, of Nevada, died Monday, September 27, 1982 at the Story County Hospital in Nevada.
She was born January 10, 1900 in Nevada, the daughter of W.H. and Ida Lockwood Boynton and attended the Nevada schools, graduating with the class of 1918, On June 20, 1935, she married Charles E. Hall, a local attorney, at Hampton, Iowa.
Mr. Hall lived all of her life in Nevada, She was a legal secretary for many years for her husband. She was a member of Nevada United Methodist Church, Solomon Dean Chapter of the daughters of the American Revolution, the Iowa State Historical Society, and the Nevada Community Historical Society. While her eyesight permitted, she transcripted books in Braille, and did many paintings in oil and watercolor, studying under instructors in Ames and Des Moines.
She is survived by a stepson, Oscar Hall of Nevada and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, on April 20, 1957; one brother and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, at the Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada, with Rev. Harold Wagner officiating. Burial will be at the Nevada Cemetery.
