OSCAR OSE

Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m. at for a former Zearing farmer, Oscar Balus Ose, 87, of Williams. He died Friday, Sept. 24, 1982 in the Hamilton County Hospital in Webster City. Services were held in the United Methodist Church in Williams with Rev. David Crow and Rev. Virgil Shickell in charge.

Oscar Ose was born Nov. 16, 1894 in McCallsburg, the son Osmund O. and Anne Danielson Ose. During World War I he served with the U.S. Army.

On Feb. 12, 1919, he married Beulah Mark at Iowa Falls. He farmed in Story and Hardin Counties before moving to a farm in Hamilton County in March, 1948. He retired and moved to Williams in 1953, Mr. Ose was a member of the United Methodist Church, the American Legion in Williams and the Modern Woodmen.

He is survived by his wife, Beulah, a resident of Southfield Care Center, Webster City; a daughter, Orpha Brandt of Hubbard; two sons, Marlon of Williams and Enlow of Sacramento, Calif.; two daughters-in-law, Donna Ose of Collins and Alice Ose of Blairsburg; 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, four brothers, two sisters and two sons, Keith and Vernon.

Casket bearers were Stephen Brandt, Carroll Cox, Wendell Ose, Jeffrey Brandt, Alan Ose, Lyle Brandt, Douglas Ose and Jerry Ose. Honorary bearers were Margaret Campbell, Mary Ose, Susan Ose, Diana Jetter, Maureen Jordison and Andrea Brandt.

Burial was in the Williams Cemetery. Arrangments were by the Surle Funeral Home.
