EMANUEL GABRIELSON

Funeral services for Emanuel Gabrielson, 71, Story City, were held from the St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City, Monday, March 18 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. George G. Strum officiating.

Burial was in the Story City cemetery with Arthur Carpenter, L. C. Richardson, Alber Frandson, Gaylord Jacobson, Embert Munsen and Willie A. Egemo serving aa pallbearers.

Born the son of Gabriel and Talleta Gabrielson of Stavanger, Norway, Oct. 22, 1891, he was baptized and confirmed there in the Lutheran faith.

At 16 he came to this country. On Sept. 11, 1919, he was married to Bergit Carlson in Story City. To this union were born three daughters.

Mr. Gabrielson served in the armed forces in World War I after which he operated an auto repair shop in Story City for 10 years. The past 33 years he was a building contractor and cabinet maker and was well-known for work he did in churches in Story City and other communities.

He was a member of the St. Petri church for many years. Death came at home Thursday, March 14.

Survivors include his wife, Bergit, three daughters, Mrs. Glen Leland, Ames; Mrs. Ellis E. Loan, Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. Virgil Raymond, Story City, as well as eight grandchildren.
