Last Saturday occurred the death of Richard Kimble at his home five miles southwest of Roland. Mr. Kimble was 70 years of age and had lived on the old homestead for thirty seven years. He was a kind neighbor, a good friend, and a loving husband and father. The funeral was held at the home at 2 p.m. and at the Pleasant Grove church at 3 p.m. on Monday, and the remains laid to rest in the Pleasant Grove cemetery. Rev. Shea, of Ames, conducted the ceremonies, a large number of people being present to pay their last homage to a friend. His wife, and three sons, Elroy W. of Howard township, George and Clarence, of Omaha, besides numerous other relatives mourn his loss. The Record extends its sympathy to the sorrowing ones.
