Craig L Textor
February 25, 1964 - December 24, 2014

Craig Textor, Kelley, IA, passed away earlier this week at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. A memorial service will be held at 11 am, this Saturday, December 27, at the Ames Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, located at the corner of Lincoln Way and 590th Avenue between Ames and Nevada. A visitation will follow from 12:30-3:00 pm, at The Landmark, 56772 241st St, Ames, IA (located at intersection of HWY 30 and INT 35).

Craig died at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. It was the very hospital where he was born on February 25, 1964. He moved to Ames when he was one year old. His delightful and quirky sense of humor entertained his many friends, both young and old, all through his life.

He associated with the Ames Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, and most recently supported the Chinese-language Group of Jehovah's Witnesses, working to improve his fluency in that language so he could assist many students from China learn Bible truths.

Craig was employed as a senior draftsman at EFCO, in Des Moines where he worked on form design for the construction of highways bridges, high-rise buildings, and other large concrete structures. He was an honor graduate of Des Moines Area Community College and a 1982 graduate of Ames High School.

Craig is survived by his wife of 22 years, Cathy Myers Textor; brother Keith (Candace) Textor, West Des Moines; parents Craig W. and Nancy Textor, Ames; step-sons Shane (Rita) Harkin, Sioux City; Ryan Harkin, Ames; Kelly (Victoria) Harkin, New Orleans; as well as a large extended family, and countless friends.
