CHAS. SHAVER

Charles Shaver, 53, former resident of Maxwell, died Tuesday, Oct. 8 at the home of a sister, Mrs. Carrie Palmer, at Earlham, Iowa, the cause of death being tuberculosis, from which he had been a sufferer for ten years or more.

Mr. Shaver came to Maxwell in 1905 and was engaged in the pool hall business for a number of years, leaving there about ten years ago.

He spent ten years in a sanitarium at El Paso, Texas, but recently had been back in Iowa with relatives.

His wife died about ten years ago and he leaves one son, Orrin, whose home is in Maxwell. He also leaves a brother, Oscar at St. Charles, Iowa, and seven sisters.

The funeral was held a the Methodist church in Maxwell Thursday afternoon at 2:30, with Rev. C. E. Lookingbill in charge.
