Steven Michael Stoll, 70, of Madrid, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.
Steven was born January 15, 1944, in Kelley to Jerrold and Betty (Johnson) Stoll. He graduated from Ballard High School in 1962 and was united in marriage to Linda Kvale on April 17, 1964. Steven worked for Johnson Controls retiring after 40 years. He was a member of Fjeldberg Lutheran Church in Huxley and had 50 years of service with the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local #33. Steven enjoyed the outdoors, motorcycles and spending time with his family.
Steven is survived by his son, Gerry (Janet) Stoll of Huxley; his sisters, Nancy (Tom) Stoll-Slife of Iowa Falls, Carolyn (Michael) Carpenter of New Carlisle, OH, Marsha (Mark) Stoll-Kenney of Ames, and Beverly (Robert) Cue of Altoona; his grandchildren, Jesse Stoll, Sean Stoll and Adam Crudele; and his great-grandchildren, Logan McDermott-Stoll and Allayna Crudele. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents and a sister, Susan Evans.
Per Steven’s wishes, he has been cremated and no services are planned.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Iowa City Cancer Clinic, Mary Greeley Cancer Clinic and the Israel Family Hospice House for the excellent care that Steven received.
