FRANCIS LEROY DAUB
Francis Leroy Daub, 63, of RR2, Nevada, died Thursday evening, Nov. 1, 1984, at Mary Greeley Medical Center, Ames, of heart failure.
He was born April 12, 1921 at Elston, Ringgold County, Ia., to Jesse G. and Florence Jones Daub.
He was educated in the Elston Public School and graduated from Thayer High School in 1938.
On Dec. 12, 1942, he was married to Phyllis Cummins of Winterset, Ia., at Bethany, Mo.
Francis and Phyllis resided near Des Moines until 1951 and moved to a farm near Albia, Ia. In 1968 they moved to RR2, Nevada, and he carpentered in Des Moines and for the past year they had operated Daub's Used Furniture.
He was a memberof the Nevada Baptist Church and of Carpenters Uniotn 106 in Des Moines.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; two sons, Lee Daub of rural Bussey, Ia., and Ted Daub at home; four daughters, Fran Hartman of Story City, Judy Jarboe of Ames, Jennie Spencer of Zearing and Sally Daub of Ames; one brother, Lloyd Daub of Brownwood, Tex.; three sisters, Mildred Denton and Naomi Davis of Brownwood, Tex., and Dorothy Reed of Gravity, Ia., and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 5, at 1:30 p.m. at the Nevada Baptist Church with Pastor Robert King officiating.
Ryan Funeral Home of Nevada was in charge of arrangements.
