LESTER G. DAY

Lester G. Day, 70, of 806 3rd St., Nevada IA, died Tuesday, April 29, 1986, at Des Moines General Hospital, Des Moines IA, after an illness of three days.

Death was attributed to a heart attack.

Mr. Post was born Feb. 16, 1916, at Nevada to Clarence and Dora (Stahlman) Post and was a resident here over 35 years.

He was married to Birdelle Gjerde May 14, 1943, at McCallsburg IA.

Survivors include his wife, Birdelle G. Post; a sister, Thelma Erickson of Nevada; two brothers, Don Post of Lagune Niguel CA and Norman Post of Nevada.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bernice and Darrell Post.

Mr. Post was retired from the Story County Sheriff's Dept. as a deputy sheriff.

He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, McCallsburg.

Funeral services were Thursday, May 1, 1980, at 1:30 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in McCallsburg with Pastor Oliver Johnson officiating. Burial was in Nevada Cemetery.

Chet Ryan Mortuary, 5th St. and G Ave., Nevada, was in charge of arrangements.
