HELEN MCMULLEN

Helen Louise McMullen, 38, of Colo, died Sunday, July 4, 1982 at St. Francis Hospital, Waterloo, Iowa.

She was born Sept. 8, 1943, in Springfield, Ill., The daughter of Earnest and Lena Huber Arnold, moved with her family to Iowa in 1951, and graduated from Gilbert High School in 1961. On March 16, 1962, she married Bennie A. McMullen Sr. in Princeton, Mo. She had been a Colo resident since her marriage and was member of the Colo United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Bennie A. McMullen; seven sons, Bennie A. McMullen, Jr. of Huxley; Andrew L. McMullen of Jacksonville, Fla., Timothy M., Anthony L., Donnie R., Dannie C. and Seven J. McMullen, all of Colo; a brother, Dave Arnold of Gilbert; three sisters, Linda Arnold of Ames, Wanda Smith of Gilbert and Mary Mittlestadt of Colo; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Arnold of Gilbert, and one grandson.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Earnest Arnold Jr. and John Mitchell Arnold.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 7, at 2 p.m. at the Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada, with Pastor Vincent Fricke of the Gilbert Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.
