Services Saturday for Dr. Brinkman
Dr. N.H. Brinkman, Colo, 73, died July 2 at his home. Services are Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Colo United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Louk officiating. Burial is in the Nevada Cemetery.
Dr. Brinkman was born June 10, 1902 in Alma, Wis. He was a veterinarian in Story County for 50 years. He and Mildred Kimberly were married June 4, 1927 in Collins.
Dr. Brinkman was a member of the United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern State, the Shrine and was a 50 year Mason. He was also a member of the Iowa State Veterinary Assn. and was a former member of the Story - Polk Board of Education, the Colo School Board and City Council.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Harold, Nevada and John, Mason City; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Harms, Milwaukee, Wis.; seven grandchildren and four sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandchild. Friends may call at the Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada, Friday evening.
