Plan rites for Matis Matison

Matis (Tiese) Matison, 81, 118 North Riverside Drive, died about 8 p.m. Sunday [June 27, 1965] at Mary Greeley Hospital.

He was born March 18, 1974, the son of Lars and Sena Matison, Nevada. He was a retired farmer and had been a stock buyer. He had been a lifelong resident of Story County. He moved to Ames about ten years ago.

He married Anna Ray, May 1, 1895.

Mr. Matison was a life member of the Ames Moose Lodge.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Esther V. Loeschen, 118 North Riverside Drive; a grandson, Stephen; and two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Baumgardner and Mrs. Margaret Ugolini, both of Nevada.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Anna, who died in 1943, and two sons.

Funeral services will be held at Ryan Funeral Home, Nevad, with the Rev. E. R. Walter, retired Evangelical United Brethren Church pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.
