Peter K. Mathison, 78, Nevada, died about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday [June 15, 1965] at the Story County Hospital.

Born Nov. 16, 1886, in Jelling, Denmark, he had been a resident of Nevada for the past 75 years.

He is survived by his wife, Milly; a son, Fred L., Nevada; a daughter, Mrs. Joel Anderson, McCallsburg; two grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur, 1429 Roosevelt Circle and Earl, Claremont, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Corfe and Mrs. Florence McMaster, both of Arcadia, Calif.

Mr. Mathison was an automobile dealer until his semi-retirement in recent years.

He was a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church Council and building committee, Masonic Lodge, American Legion, Rotary Club and City Council.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday from the Memorial Lutheran Church with the Rev. Victor Hackbarth, officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established.
