Lloyd Raymond Pyle, 81

Lloyd R. Pyle of Lakewood, CO, a retired technical instructor, died June 22 in Denver. He was 81.

Memorial services in Nevada will be July 12, at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church. Interment will be at Nevada Cemetery in Nevada. Memorial Services were already held at Montview Blvd. Presbyterian Church in Denver, Co., on June 28. There was cremation.

He was born December 9, 1915, in Hampton, IA. He was the son of Milton Robert Pyle and Myrtle Ellen (Miller) Pyle. He graduated from Hansell High School and attended Manchester College for two years at North Manchester, IN. We worked for the National Cash Register Co. from 1937 to 1972 at a service technician, service manager and finally a technical instructor in various state: Ohio, Arkansas, California, Iowa, Minnesota and Colorado. Lloyd served from 1942 and 1946 in the Air Force. He worked as a mechanic on Automatic Pilots, serviced teletypes and reported weather conditions for aircraft. He did his in various locations in the United States and India. After the war, he farmed in Iowa for eight years.

Lloyd retired in 1975 and enjoyed restoring antique cash registers, photography and was writing his life story when he died.

He was preceded in death by two wives: Ruth LaVonne Albright in 1955 and Evelyn Marie Sterrett in 1972.

He is survived by three daughters, Janet Sparks, Des Moines; Janis Pyle, Nevada and Jill Moss, Wheat Ridge, CO; a son Jerry Pyle, Lakewood, CO; a stepdaughter Jean Eastin, Arriba, CO; a stepson, Art Sterrett, Mobile, AL; a brother, Gordon Pyle, Homosassa, FL; a sister Norma Jean Lewis, Ames; firve grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and eight step-grat-grandchildren.
