Adams Funeral Was Held on Friday

The funeral of Milton Adams, 76, who died at his home here March 9, was held on Friday, March 11 from this city. Elder T. H. Jeys conducted the services assisted by Mr. W. C. Foreman, elder of the local church of Nevada. Interment was made in the Nevada cemetery.

Milton Lorenzo Adams was born at Washington, Washington county, Iowa, April 30, 1851, and died at Nevada, Iowa, March 9, 1927, aged 75 years, 10 months, 5 days.

October 4, 1877 he was married to Phoebe Ferguson. To this union one daughter was born, Elsie, now Mrs. Pinney of Loma Linda, Calif. He was married to Emma Mitchell, March 29, 1888. To this union there were born two sons, Jesse and Elston. There are left to mourn his faithful wife, the two sons, the daughter, five grandchildren, one brother, three sisters and a host of friends and acquaintances.

Mr. Adams has been a citizen of Nevada for the last sixteen years. He has been respected by all. He was to his last day a faithful member of the Seventhday Adventist church, and though his deafness of his last few years made it inconvenient to communicate with his brethren, he was held in high esteem by all. His hope in the Christian reward was ever his brightest thought.
