Betty Ann Vessel, 51, of 206 Valley Vista Lane, Bourlder, Colo., died Wednesday, May 19, 1982 at
Boulder Community Hospital. The body was cremated.

Mrs. Vessel was born to Harold J. Sayers and Hazel I. Sayers on June 9, 1930, in Nevada, Iowa. Her parents preceded her in death.

She was a graduate from Northwestern University and received her master's degree from Colorado State University. She was a child development specialist for the Boulder County Board of Developmental Disabilities and had worked for the County for about 12 years.

She is survived by her husband, Richard, of Boulder; a son, John Barile of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Rebecca Barile of Stevens Point, Wisc., and Holly Barile of Boulder; a brother, Homer Sayers of Nevada, Iowa, and one grandchild.

A memorial services was held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boulder on Monday, May 24.

Final graveside services will be held at Nevada Memorial Cemetery on Saturday, June 12 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Walter E. Lack, Memorial Lutheran Church officiating.
