WILLARD F. SAMSON

Funeral services for Willard F. Samson were held at the Ryan Funeral Home Wednesday, Oct. 24, at 1:30.

Rev. Jeen Park was in charge of the service. Miss Virginia Bierschwal was organist, accompanying the soloist Sonja Park.

Casket bearers were Harry Beal, Jerry Brodie, Dale Groomes, Lloyd Kline, Jack Myers, and Wilbur Myers. Interment was in the Nevada Cemetery.

Obituary

Willard F. Samson was born Sept. 14, 1920 at Nevada, the son of Irene and Keesee Samson. He passed away at the Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames October 21, 1973.

He had lived his entire life in the vicinity of Nevada. He was married to Fern M. VanSickle at the Christian Church parsonage August 25, 1940.

In 1941 he started farming with his father-in-law, Joe VanSickle, Sr. and the Dr. Kinney farm west of Nevada. In 1959 he moved to the Kinney farm east of Nevada, where he still was farming when he passed away.

He was a member of the Nevada Christian Church and had served as Deacon.

Surviving are his wife, Fern, and two daughters: Patricia, Mrs. Robert Miller; Christina, Mrs. David Cox; four grandchildren; three brothers, Russell of Indianola, Larry of Fayetteville, N.C. and Jerry of Caliente, Nevada.

Willard was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Keesee, Jr.
