Kathleen Eyanson

Kathleen Eyanson, 48, of 123 J Avenue, Nevada, died of cancer Sunday evening, Jan. 6, at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames.

Born Sept. 22, 1932 in Nevada to Joseph and Virgil Young Eyanson, she attended Nevada schools and was lifelong Nevada resident.

Ms. Eyanson was a nurses aide at Story County Hospital until September when she resigned because of illness. She was a member of the Nevada United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son, Kelly, and one daughter, Julie, both of Nevada; four brothers, Richard of Webster City, Glen of Fernald, and Leo and Tom, both of Nevada; and two sisters, Mary Eyanson of Nevada and JoAnn Lewis of Fort Madison.

Services will be Wednesday, Jan. 9, at 1:30 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada, Rev. Harold Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.
