Wayne H. Howell
June 23, 1916 to January 26, 1995

Wayne H. Howell, 78, of Nevada died of complications of Alzheimer's Disease at Story County Long Term Care, Nevada.

He was born to Carl and Josie (Burnett) Howell at Victor, Mo.

He married Norma Dueland on March 12, 1949 at the Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada where he was a member. He also belonged to the Senior Citizens Bowling League. he worked for the Story County road maintenance department until retiring in 1981. His occupations also included farmer, worker at the Ames Atomic lab and school bus driver.

He is survived by his wife, Norma of Nevada; two sons, Eldon Howell of Nevada and Dennis Howell of Ames; four grandchildren; one brother, Kelley Howell of Mitchellville; three sisters, Wilma Poston of Crossville, Tenn., Ferne Powell of Carbondale, Kan., and Doris Heath of Lake Suzy, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Marvin Howell.

The funeral was held Jan. 28 at the Memorial Lutheran Church, Nevada. Burial was at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.
