GERALD DAN KANGLEY

Gerald Dan Kalgley, 74, of 616 10th St., died of a heart ailment Thursday, May 31, 1984.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Nevada. Father James Supple will officiate.

Gerald Kangley was born on Jan. 24, 1910, to Owen and Mary (O'Hearn) Kangley in Eldora. He graduated from Eldora High School in 1928. Mr. Kangley was married to Maurice Johnston on Jan. 24, 1934. They farmed in the Eldora and Marshalltown areas from 1934-51 before moving to Nevada in 1951. Mr. Kangley was employed by the Dairy Science Department at Iowa State University until his retirement in 1974. He was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Nevada and the Knights of Columbus.

Mr. Kangley is survived by his wife, Maurice; one daughter, Janet Crowley of Coon Rapids, Minn.; two sons, Jack of Hampton and Joe of Rockwell City; two sisters, Elizabeth Molson of Des Moines and Anna Margaret Jarek of Phoenix, Ariz.; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.
