Funeral services for Doyle E. Elliott, 72, Nevada, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, from the Nevada United Methodist Church. The Rev. Marvin L. Hulse will officiate, with burial in the Nevada Cemetery.

Mr. Elliott died today, Dec. 6, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines of apparent heart failure.
He was born July 17, 1906 in Champaigne County, Ill. to George M. and Bessie Elliott. He was a resident of Story County for 70 years and was a retired farmer. He married Louise M. Voss Sept. 8, 1946, in New Virginia, Iowa. Mr. Elliott was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Kiwanis.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Loy of Baltimore; one daughter, Mary Lou Ackerman of Ames; two sisters, Maxine Barber of Martinez, Calif., and Evelyn Button of Huxley; and five grandchildren.

Mr. Elliott was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada from Thursday until time of service Friday.
