Robert A. Frazier, Nevada Pioneer, Dies Here Today

R. A. Frazier, who would have been 94 years of age nest month, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harry Langland, 834 K avenue, at 11 o'clock this morning after an illness of two and a half weeks due to complications incident to his advanced years.

Funeral services will be held from the Morfoot Funeral home Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 with the Rev. Joseph M. Kennedy of Central Presbyterian church in charge. Committal will be in the Nevada cemetery by the side of the wife who passed away in Nevada 16 years ago this summer.

Mr. Frazier came to Nevada from Thomasboro, Ill., fifty years ago last spring. he entered the grain business here, later being associated with his sons. he organized and for a number of years was actively identified with the People's Saving bank. He retired from active business a number of years ago but continued to retain his interest in business affairs and in state and national events despite his advanced years.

The deceased was born in Muskingum county, Ohio, where he lived until going to Thomasboro, Ill., when a young man of 21 years. There he was engaged for a while in teaching. It was there he met his wife, Miss Jennie Friesner, who was also a native of Ohio, and there his family of four sons and one daughter was born.

But two of the five children survive him, the son, Roy and the daughter, Harriett, Mrs. Harry Langland, at whose home he has lived for the past four years. The sons preceding him in death are Vern Frazier, who died in 1918; Pearl Frazier, who passed away in 1836, and Keith, who died two years ago.

He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Hattie Shryock of Zanesville, Ohio, and a number of grandchildren.
