Lola Marie Johnson, 95

Mrs. Lola Marie Johnson, 95 of Colonial Manor in Zearing died Monday, January 15, of congestive heart failure.

She was born August 17, 1900 in Maquoketa, Iowa to John and Lutie (Tabor) Lundy. She graduated from Nevada High School in 1918 and was a school teacher and homemaker. She married Myrl D. Johnson on June 16, 1921 at the Grace United Methodist Church in Des Moines.

Lola Johnson was a member of the Bergen Lutheran Church in Roland, Iowa ans was a member of the Eastern Star at Nevada, Iowa. She was also a member of the Roland American Legion Auxiliary Post #307 at Roland, Iowa, and a member of the Story County Retardation Board.

Services were held Friday, January 19, at the Bergen Lutheran Church in Roland, Iowa, with interment in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery in Nevada.

Pastor Conrad Rolland presided. The Fredregill Funeral Home of Zearing was in charge of arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Myrl on May 13, 1994, her parents, one son, Robert in October 1923, one brother Tom in 1971 and one sister Leah in 1898. She is survived by two sons, Larry E. Johnson of Roland, Iowa and John C. Johnson of McCallsburg, Iowa, six grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren.
